SM Bike Green service starts operation in Hanoi
SM Bike's green electric motorbike transportation service was first launched in Hanoi this week, with the plan to expand to 5 provinces and 60,000 vehicles by the end of the year.
On 14th August, the Green transportation service SM Bike went into operation in the first location, Hanoi. This is the service of transporting passengers by VinFast electric motorbike of GSM Company, which is the first step for the plan to cover 5 provinces and cities this year, with the number of up to 60,000 vehicles. This is a passenger transport service by VinFast electric motorbike of GSM Company, launched after only 4 months of implementing Xanh SM Taxi and Xanh SM Luxury, creating an important step forward in promoting green transportation and environment-friendly in Vietnam.
In the first phase, the service will use synchronously the VinFast Feliz S electric motorbike series painted in Cyan blue typical of Xanh SM. In the next phase, Xanh SM plans to add an electric motorcycle model VinFast Evo200. Accordingly, the departure price for 2 km of Green SM Bike is 13,800 VND ($0.58), equivalent to 6,900 VND/km. From the 3rd km, the fare is 4,800 VND/km ($0.2). Users in Hanoi can easily order services through the SM Green application on their smartphones (both App Store and Google Play).
Especially, Xanh SM offers the service "Green 2 School" specialising in transporting students and students to school according to flexible hours with SM Bike electric motorbikes or according to fixed routes with Blue SM Taxi and SM Green electric cars. This new service brings peace of mind to parents thanks to an in-vehicle navigation system, real-time itinerary updates, and a rigorous reporting process right after dropping off passengers at school.
The implementation of the mobility solution by electric motorbike is a strong step of Green SM in promoting the Government's goal of reaching net zero emissions (Net Zero) by 2050. At the same time, for each trip, customers choose to travel with Green SM Bike, and Green SM commits to contribute 100 VND ($0.0042) to the Fund for a Green Future to finance environmental activities.
